These days a lot of people are wondering, “why should I get a real estate agent,” when there's REDFIN and OpenDoor and OfferPad and all these online home buying services. Well there's a couple reasons.

First of all, many homes will never make it to the MLS. That's right they get sold before they even hit the MLS. Especially in this kind of extremely competitive seller's market. So you want an agent who can network with other agents and find you properties that are not in the traditional MLS portal.

The other reason is that you really want an agent with enough experience to advise you on what kind of offers to make in this kind of very competitive market. You don't want to go with a novice agent because you're going to lose out because of inexperience.
